This decrease in political apathy may be due to the Indignado Movement. Though idealistic and not focused on actually solving problems, it does convey clearly that Spain needs reform, politicians with reliability, and a working system that involves state regulators that protect Spain and its economy. In short, the Indignado Movement brings attention to all that is wrong with current political corruption.

This brings to mind the question of whether or not the Spanish people are angry enough about the corruption prevalent throughout Spain to ignite a ‘sea change’ that will force those in power to reform. It may now be a possibility, and if so, the loss of cultural arts in Spain may be exchanged for a much greater and more powerful forces: economic balance and political stability.
